2026 Is AI's Year 2000

Chien Li-feng gives this moment a coordinate: if 2022–2024 was AI's 1990s, then 2026 is AI's year 2000 — the inflection from experiment to commercial scale. He also locates the risk: bubbles are the substrate of technological innovation, but the danger sits in debt-financed data centers built without demand assessment; and if agents cannot genuinely enter enterprises to do work — remaining answer machines rather than task-doers — the bubble can burst.
The lesson of 2000 was never "the internet was a bubble." It was that the companies which survived the bubble defined the next twenty years. The dividing line is not who used the technology, but who reorganized themselves around it. That is what AI Transformation = AI Adoption + Innovation means: adoption is the ticket; redefining how the organization operates is the actual game — a three-to-five-year transformation that leaders must design and model in person.
問用管造 exists to give that transformation an operational coordinate system: first ask the right questions, then produce value, then align the team, then build the tools. The sequence is the strategy.
In an inflection era, the real risk was never investing too much. It is navigating a new continent with an old map.
